OBITUARY

John Wood Payne, Jr., 93 of Warrenton, VA passed away on Dec. 27, 2014 at Fauquier Hospital.

He was born on August 31, 1921 in Fauquier County a son of the late John Wood Payne, Sr. and Mary Alma Honey Payne. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, June Elizabeth Payne.

Mr. Payne was retired from Fairfax County and enjoyed farming on the family property near Orlean.

He is survived by his children, Sue Payne Kenworthy and Larry D. Payne and his wife Sandra K. Payne; two grandchildren, Emily K. Bair and her husband Ryan Bair and Jason D. Payne and five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Dec. 31 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM when funeral services will begin at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton. Chaplain Liz Danielson will officiate. Interment will follow at Orlean Cemetery.
