GENTILE, MALCOLM HAMMOND Nov. 29, 1944 to July 16, 2008 Loving husband, father and grandfather. Athlete extraordinaire, who loved and excelled at tennis, golf and soccer with a passion. Business owner of Buy the Hour Copier Repair for more than 20 years. Navy Veteran. Nobody met Malcolm who didn't call him a friend. His smile and gentle ways touched the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed. Survived by wife, Elizabeth Young Gentile; his children, Kimberly, Tony, Michelle, and Isabella Gentile; grandchildren Victoria, Chelsea, Taylore, Bethany, Curtis, Marco and Chloe, and many loving friends. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday July 25, 2008, at 5:30 p.m. at St. Columba Catholic Church 3327 Glencolum, San Diego, CA.

He bought 476 acres on Hunt's Creek in Buckingham, Co. from Powhatan Jones, in 1843. The farm was named Locust Grove. The house was story and a half set over an English cellar. During Reconstruction, cattle were slaughtered by thieves. When he tried to stop them, they threw rocks at him. He ran to a neighbor's house and was saved. His son assumed Thomas' debts. Wealthia moved to WV and her 2 remaining brothers followed.
