Blackburn's Creek, Occupatia, and Cockleshell Creek flow into the south side of the Rappahannock River. Along these creeks in old Rappahannock Co., VA., and what is
now Essex Co., VA., were the plantations of BARTHOLOMEW VAWTER, WILLIAM HODGSON, THOMAS PAGE, CORNELIUS NOELL, and PETER RUCKER. On down the Rappahannock River, in Middlesex Co., VA. were the plantations of CLAUDE VALLOTT
and STOKELEY TOWLES.

Winnifred married Bartholomew Vawter ca 1690, Essex Co. VA. Bartholomew (son of John Vawter) was born ca 1661, Plymouth, Devonshire, England ; died 17 Sep 1717, Tappahannock, VA. [Group Sheet]

1. John Vawter was born ca 1691, Essex Co. VA; died 16 Nov 1752, Culpepper Co. VA.
