OBITUARY

Robert (Bob) Elliott II, 71, of Shickshinny Valley passed away Oct. 19, 2004, in Berwick Retirement Village 1 after struggling courageously through a lengthy illness.

Robert was born May 30, 1933, to the late Robert (Bowman) Elliott and Margaret (Welch) Gensel of Shickshinny Valley. He served in the U.S. Navy and enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and time spent with his children and grandchildren.

Robert leaves behind a wife of 52 years, Marie (Cerulli) Elliott; and seven children, daughters, Roberta Erdman, Kathryn (Patchana) Chaudry and Patricia Grevera, all of Berwick; sons, Robert Elliott III and Ernest Elliott, both of Shickshinny Valley; Daniel Elliott and James Elliott, both of Virginia; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Thomas and David Gensel; sisters, Phyllis Metcalf, Carol Titter and Judy Hargett.

He is entrusted to the care of Heller Funeral Home, Nescopeck, where services will be held Friday, 2 p.m. with Scott J. Fetterolf, pastor of Emmanuel Bible Chapel, Berwick, officiating. He will be laid to rest in Pine Grove Cemetery, Walnut Street, Berwick.

Calling hours are today 7 to 9 p.m.
