ORANGE CITY -- Edna Prater Taylor, 86, of Daley Street, a cook at the Rose's Department Store restaurant, DeLand, for more than 10 years before she retired, died Monday at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial.

Mrs. Taylor was born in Caretta, W.Va., and moved here in 1978 from Niagara Falls, N.Y. She was a member of Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Whitaker, Orange City, and Mike Whitaker, Mechanicsville, Md.; two daughters, Edith Ingersoll and Lucille Ryce, both of Ontario; two brothers, Elmer Prater, Rydal, Ga., and Lawrence Prater, Honolulu; four sisters, Josephine Amburg, Plant City, Ethel Burton, Pulaski, Va., and Effie Jordon and Maryanne Justice, both of War, W.Va.; 19 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Baldauff is in charge.
