OBITUARY

Orbie Fugate, 77, of Wappapello, died Monday, July 14, 2003, at Puxico Nursing and Rehab Center in Puxico.

Mr. Fugate was born July 26, 1925, in Corning. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Wappapello, and was retired from Berry Wehmiller (Boilermaker).

On Sept. 5, 1953, he married Almarietta Griffin. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons, David Fugate of Cedar Hill and Matt Fugate of Dudley; two brothers, Lawrence Fugate of Sikeston and Danny Fugate of Kansas City; four sisters, Jane Evans and Janetta Groves, both of Sikeston, Margaret Patton of Texas, and Donna Kay Franey of St. Louis; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bruce Pittman officiating. Burial will be at Post Oak Cemetery in McDougal, Ark.
