OBITUARY

Dewey Absher,86, of Pounding Mill,died in a Richlands hospital. He was born in Tazewell County,Va. and was the son of the late Charlie and Rena(Chambers)Absher.

He had been a lifelong resident of the Tazewell County area and was a retired self-employed coal miner.He was a member of the Trinity Tabernacle Church in Raven,Va.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Dorothy Absher; two brothers Lloyd Absher and Roy Absher. Survivors are his wife Mrs. Sadie(Short)Absher; three daughters Mrs. Elmer(Ruby)Hylton, Mrs. Buford(Doris)Davis and Mrs. Marvin(Thelma)Cordill; five sons Troy Absher, Hurley Absher, Rev. Charlie Absher, Earl Junior Absher and Darrell Joseph Absher; five sisters--Mrs. Joe(Nell)Buckles, Mrs. Bernard(Maxie)Williamson, Mrs. Rosa Messick, Mrs Albert(Artie)Keen and Mrs. Charlie (Mattie)Stilwell; and one brother--James T.Absher.
