OBITUARY

Ronald Wayne "Ronnie" Edwards, 50, 497 East Wayne St., of Bluefield, died Friday December 7, 2007 at Roanoke Memorial Center.

He was born in Bluefield on September 18, 1957.

Mr. Ronald W. Edwards attended the Mapleview Church of Christ. He was formally employed at Jewell Ridge Coal Mines as an Electrician until becoming disabled. He was a member of the Moose Lodge No. 1079 Bluefield and the Eagles Club of Bluefield. He was the son of late Charlie Tate Edwards Sr. and Clara Stevenson Edwards of Bluefield.

In addition to his mother he was survived by Samantha Edwards, of Myrtle Beach S.C.; a son, Christopher Meek Edwards and his wife Jessica Hope Edwards of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a sister, Debbie Hale and husband David of Falls Mills, Va.; brothers, Charlie Edwards, Jr. and wife Debbie of Bluefield, and Randy Edwards of Bluefield; five grandchildren; Andrew Kyle Edwards, Emma Jane Bobbitt, Alexia Jade Edwards, Katie Hope Edwards, and Bryson Meek Edwards; a sister-in-law, Connie Robertson of North Carolina; lots of special aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and special friends including Betty Jane Horton and Tommy Lambert.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Reed officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Mercer Funeral Home on Monday December 10, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

The family is requesting to have donations made in lieu of flowers to the Mapleview Church of Christ Route 2 Box 77 Bluefield, WV 24701.
