OBITUARY

Anna Lee Johnson Tipton, 83, of Stuffle Street went to be with the Lord June 22, 2006 at her residence. She was born in Scott County VA and was the daughter of the late Carl and Hilda Dingus Johnson on February 7, 1923. She had made Kingsport her home for over 50 years.She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Glen Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who had a deep appreciation for her family.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Clinas Kilgore and Juanita Ervin; and brother, Taft Johnson.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Bill Joe Tipton; daughter, Sue and Harry Lipton, Rachel and Charles Hoovan, Jenny and Mel Osborne; one son, Rocky and Carol McReynolds; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; three sisters, Clara Hileman, Louise Fields, Carol Jennings; several nieces and nephews, cousins and other family who survive.

Services were held in the chapel of the Scott County funeral Home; burial at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
