Inscription translated from Latin:

"In this place of death lies Isabella, who did no harm but pleased the Lord. She was the august first wife of Clifton Gervase excellent soldier, before have been called, relict [widow] of William Scot, called Herbert or known as Finch which is said to be his alias. One thousand four hundred,Fifty seven Memorial November twentieth given this number, 1457."
