    However, the Altizer Family site has her last name as possibly Sadler.

    Some other sources have her listed as Susan Slusher Brewster. So it is not confirmed if she is descended from or even related to the Slusher family of Floyd Co. VA who are the descendants of Christopher Slusher. So proceed with caution in using this information on her possible parentage as there is no documentation or proof at this point.

    Original spelling of name was Schlosser.

    Some years after his service in the Revolutionary War as Private First Class in Captain Stone's Company of the Second Battalion of the Lancaster County (Pennsylvania) Militia, Christopher migrated down the valley of Virginia to Montgomery County (from which Floyd County was formed 1831).

    By 1803 Christopher and his family settled on 600 acres in what is now Floyd County. He owned over 1600 acres by the time of his death, Dec. 11, 1845.

    Christopher married Eva Jane Hancock 1775, Lebanon, Lancaster Co. PA . Eva was born 1758, Pennsylvania; died 1838, Floyd Co. VA. [Group Sheet]

    Notes:

    He came to America through the port of Philadelphia in 1732 on the ship, the Dragon. Although Peter settled in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, he is buried in Sharpsburg, Maryland. His tombstone, carved in German, reads, "Here rests in God Peter Schlosser born 20 January 1710 and died 8 January 1790. His age was 80 years, 11 months, and 3 days. When you awaken the dead on that day, so also reach out your hand to my grave."

    The original immigrant, Peter Schlosser was the son of Johann Joost Schlosser who we believe was born in Londorf, although it appears he moved from Londorf later in life and is buried in Hilsbach, Germany. Family research indicates Schlossers living in the village of Londorf as early as 1605.
