  Married: Clinch Valley News; 28 March 1913 Alex Altizer and daughter, Miss Marybell, attended on Sunday afternoon the marriage of her nephew, Mr. Newt Whitaker to Mrs. Ella Lambert at the home of Rev. Ezra Linkous, "The Gretna Green of Cedar Bluff." Mr. Beavers and Miss Mollie McGuire, of near Laurel, were married at the same time. The marriage took place in the yard and was witnessed by a large a number of people.
