  Notes	Note from Peter David Whitaker There is a surviving record for the 1831 census (extremely rare to bepreserved) which shows a John and Sarah Whitaker in Ossett. In the first census to be preserved in 1841 he is listed as Head of the Household, living with Sarah on The Green, Westside, Ossett. "she is shown in the 1851 census at The Green, Ossett as a widow with two of her daughters. Her occupation is a Cloth Burler"
