He grew up in Richmond and on the family farm near Cambridge City. Stanley graduated from Richmond High School in 1951.
While serving in the Navy Reserves, he married his high school sweetheart, Naomi Carolyn Miller in 1953, who predeceases him.
He was many things to many people in all his years, from working the family farm in his young years to building his own home in Greenville, Ohio, with his father, becoming vice president of systems to a bank in Burlington, N.C., and retiring from another financial institution in Florence, S.C.
His retirement was made special by friends and loved ones at the Raleigh RBC Center, where he enjoyed working security and helping in any way he could.
He was a member of Webb Masonic Lodge 24 Richmond, Ind.
Above all, he was a good husband, friend, mentor, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include four children, Stanley D. Beeson of Concord, Calif., Tonnyia B. Knox and husband of Tega Cay, S.C., Melissa J. Farley of Virginia Beach, Va., and Steven D. Beeson of Asheville, N.C.
