Susanna "Susie" Curry
Susanna "Susie" Curry, 89, of Ottawa, departed this life Monday, May 1, 2006, at St. Francis Hospital in Charleston. Born Feb. 11, 1917, at Whirlwind, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Allie Robinson Mullins. Susie was a homemaker and attended Ball Chapel Church at Jeffrey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Harley T. Curry; six brothers, Peter, Charles, Wilburn, Kiah, James, and Lunsford Mullins; and three sisters, Garnite Adams, Parlee Browning, and Evelyn York.
Survivors include four sons, James ?JK? (Janie) Gillman of Ridgeview, Tom Curry of Frazier Bottom, David (Regina) Curry, and John ?Melinda? Curry, both of Ottawa; one special granddaughter, Misty Dawn Gillman; one sister, Lorene Phillips of Cow Creek; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Ball Chapel Church, Jeffrey, with Mike Stevenson, Edsel Aleshire, and Bobby Lane officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home and two hours prior to the service Thursday at the church. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Godby.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Collins Funeral Home at Switzer is in charge of arrangements.
