  Notes	OBITUARY From Find A Grave Sam Ed East, 87, of Stuart, died Monday, December 10, 2007, at R.J. Reynolds Patrick County Memorial Hospital in Stuart. He was born in Patrick County on March 15, 1920 and was a son of the late Henry and Elizabeth Hall East. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Gracie Vipperman East; two sons, an infant and Sam East Jr.; five sisters, Nancy Vipperman, Ruth East, Lucille Mitchell, Magdalene McAlexander and Annie Welch; and two brothers, William East and Akers East. He was a member of the Patrick Springs Church of God of Prophecy and had retired from J.P. Stevens, Co., Inc. Surviving are two brothers, Fred East of Claudville and Hampton East of High Point, N.C.; and two sisters, Thelma Holt of Mount Airy, N.C., and Evelyn Williams of Bristol; one daughter-in-law, two grandsons and one great-grandson. A graveside service will be held today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at the Hooker family cemetery with Pastors Dale Bailey and J.R. Vipperman officiating. Arrangements are by Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
