Georgia Mary Harless, 90, of 701 Bramwell Rd., Bluefield and formerly from Springville, Va., died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at her home. She was born in Springville, Va. and was a daughter of the late Robert Asbury and Elizabeth Kinder Asbury. She was a member of the Springville Christian Church, and in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Harless; a daughter, Mary Sue Harless; grandsons, Scott Melvin and Christopher Crigger; and by several brothers and sisters. She is survived by daughters, Betty Patton, Jacksonville, Fla., Sarah Pritt and husband Robert, Bluefield, W.Va.; grandchildren, Kathy Melvin, Richmond, Va., Teresa Ribble, Dunedin, Fla., Mickey Crigger and Earnest Crigger, Jacksonville, Fla.; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Dosha Hicks, Radford, Va.; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Amedisys Hospice workers. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dudley Memorial Chapel in Bluefield, Va. with Johnny Elmore officiating. Burial will follow in the Grandview Memory Gardens. The Harless family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services at the funeral home. Mrs. Harless will always be fondly remembered by her family and numerous friends for her kindness, gentleness, devout grace and unselfish loving ways. Dudley Memorial Mortuary in Bluefield, Va. is serving the Harless family.
