He was born April 19, 1930, in Panther, W.Va., the son of Enos and Dorcas Kennedy Blankenship. He had worked for Fisher Body in Cleveland and was a founding member of First Baptist Church Of Andover. Survivors include his wife, Gladys Mae Stacy Blankenship; three daughters, Sharon "Shari" Shevetz of Troutville, Va., Sandra "Sandy" Serroka-Phegley of Hurst, Texas, and Stacy L. Blankenship-Gould of Cherry Valley; three sisters, Nadine B. Freeman of Sandy Hook, Miss., Ila B. "Katie" McGuinness of Hertford, N.C., and Peggy B. Swetnam of La Place, La.; two brothers, the Rev. Jesse J. "Jig" Blankenship of Glasglow, Va., and C. Wetzel Blankenship of Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death an infant son, Theodore Blankenship Jr.; a sister; an infant brother; and four brothers. A funeral service will be noon Saturday at First Baptist Church Of Andover, Andover.
