June Christian, age 91 of Cedar Bluff, VA was called by The Lord to be with him, her Dad and Mom on Wednesday, January 19, 2011. She was a resident of Heritage Hall Health Care in Tazewell, VA. Born February 25, 1919 at Cedar Bluff, VA, she was the beloved daughter of the late Victor and Pearl Beavers Christian. She was a member of the Crossroads Adventist Christian Church. June was always a loving caregiver, especially to her mother and father in their later years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Christian and a sister, Mary O. Huckleberry. Left to cherish her memory are two brothers, Victor Christian and wife, BettyAnne of Chattanooga, TN and Philip Christian and wife, Kay of Kernersville, NC; two sisters, Violet Hampton and husband, Claude of Lenexa, KS and Carol Burress of Willoughby, OH; also much loved nieces, nephews, and their extended families that she treated as her own children; Edith Hager Bell and Norma Smith who were special caregivers. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 21, 2011 at Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Claypool Hill, VA with the Rev. Bill Shook officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell, VA.
