Born February 28, 1926 in Tazewell County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Bandy Beavers and Mollie Peery Beavers. She was retired from the retail sales business. Ruby was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Princeton and was active in the Sacred Heart Prayer Circle. She was also a member of the Charlotte Women of Faith in Charlotte, N.C. In addition to her parents, her husband of forty-one years, George Wendell Evans preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Lurah Evans Taylor; one great-grandson, James W. Evans III; and two sisters, Eula Sizemore and Willie Rasnick.
