Services for Mr. William Henry Vanstone, 73 are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Philip's Episcopal Church in Donelson. The Rev. Albert J. Mcgee Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Mr. Vanstone died of a heart condition Saturday at his home in Donelson.
He was a retired director of purchasing at Clover Bottom Development Center in Donelson, a former administrator of Hubband Hospital and retired Captain in the Royal Army Education Corps in England.
Mr. Vanstone was a native of Stockleigh-Pomroy, England, and a son of the late William Henry and Phoebe Conbeer Vanstone. He was married the former Annie Laurie Anderson.
He was a graduate of the YMCA Law School, now the Nashville School of Law.
Mr. Vanstone was a veteran of World War II and a German prisoner of war for five years.
He was a member of St. Philip's Episcopal Church. He was a former member of Hermitage Presbyterian Church, where he served as chairman of the board of deacons adn chairman of the church's troop committee of Boy Scout Troop 30.
Mr. Vanstone was a former member of the downtown Lions Club and the American College of Hospital Administrators.
Survivors besides his wife include a daughter, Roslyn McGee of Signal Mountain; two sons, Keith C. Vanstone and G. Blair Vanstone, both of Hermitage; and five grandchildren, Abigail, Sara and Will McGee, Susan and Dana Vanstone.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or charity or church of one's choice.
