  Notes	OBITUARY The News-Gazette, Lexington VA; 6 April 1988 Deborah Jean Sterrett, 35, of Buena Vista died Sunday, April 3, in Stonewall Jackson Hospital. She was born May 14, 1952, in Lexington, the daughter of John Reid Sterrett and the late Alice Lawhorne Sterrett. She was a member of the Buena Vista Holiness Church and the Lexington-Buena Vista C.W.I. Credit Professionals. She was a clerk with the Providence Finance Co. She is survived by two daughters, Melissa Layne Tomlin and Elizabeth Dawn Layne, both of Buena Vista; one son Jerome O'Brien Sterrett Layne of Buena Vista; two sisters, Tamela Sterrett Williamson of Norfolk and Patricia Sterrett Lewis of Chesapeake; two stepsisters; Donna R. Day of Madison Heights and Pamela C, Robertson of Williamsburg; one stepbrother, Dennis H. Robertson of Waynesboro; a stepmother, Anne J. Sterrett of Buena Vista; paternal grandmother, Louise Gibson Sterrett of Blacksburg; and two grandchildren. The funeral was conducted Wednesday morning, April 6, by the Rev. W. David Bain and the Rev. Harold Bowman at Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial followed in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.
