  Notes	OBITUARY Polly Rebecca Marie Shelton Carter Stanley, age 69 of Richlands, Virginia passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at The Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, Virginia. She was born in Tazewell County, Virginia and was the daughter of the late, Edd and Freda Smith Shelton. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistance for over 25 years, taking care of others who needed her. She was a lifetime resident of the area. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by, her first husband, Harley Lee Carter and two sisters, Merline Cantrell and Lola Mae Whited. Those who remain to carry on her spirit are: Her husband, Velmer Gene Stanley of Richlands, VA; Her daughter, Christine Meadows and husband Larry of Cedar Bluff, VA; Step-son, Gary Martin of Richlands, VA; Sister, Connie Melissa Shelton of Richlands, VA; Grandchildren, Jennifer Renee Meadows and Jared Lee Meadows; Special Caregivers, Helen Casey, Dr. Chaudry and his staff. Funeral services for Polly Stanley will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. David Wilmoth officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be, Jared Lee Meadows, Charlie Arms, Joe Shelton, James Dye, Dustin O?Quinn and Mike Lester. The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm on Tuesday evening, at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia.
