I'm still scratching my head as to how Rhoda Jimmie, or Argie as she was called, became Paptolana. I located them by finding Paul, since he was born in Oklahoma, and the other children born later were from McDowell Co. WV. At times the family used the name Delancy. Regina Lauer, John's great granddaughter said their family pronounced the name Delaney which was close to the pronunciation of Delancy. Frank has 2 KY birth certificates, his first one with the name Franklin Delancy and the other several years later as Franklin Dolina. June used the name Delancy on her marriage certificate in 1943, but her sister Helen used Dolina on her marriage certificate in 1943. Both sisters were married in Norfolk, VA within a few months of each other. And to make things even more confusing, Rhoda is listed as Ruth on some records.
