She was a lifelong resident of Scott County and was the widow of the late Kyle Quillen. Survivors besides the daughter include a son, Junior Kyle Quillen, Gate City; her father, John Blair, Gate City; sisters, Mrs. Verda Tipton and Mrs. Carl Mann, both of Kingsport; Mrs. Arles Mann, Mrs. Charles Quillen, Mrs. Elma Lane, and Mrs. Annie Musick, all of Gate City; brothers, Clarence and Lee Blair, both of Gate City; and four grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Gate City Funeral Home. Kingsport Times; 20 Dec 1965 Mrs. Carrie Quillen GATE CITY?Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Blair Quillen, who died Saturday, will be held today at 2 p.m. in Blairs Chapel Methodist Church. Rev. Herman Anderson, Rev. Willie Jennings, and Rev Albert Poole will officiate. Burial will be in the Strong Cemetery. The body will remain at the Gate City Funeral Home until one hour before the funeral, when it will be taken to the church.
