Quillen Gate City, Va.?Robert Kyle Quillen, 54, died unexpectedly at 4:30 p.m. Friday at his home on Gate City, Route 2. Born and reared in Scott County, he was employed by the Mason and Dixon Lines in Kingsport. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Carrie Blair Quillen; one daughter, Mrs. Glenn Poole, and one son, Robert K. Quillen, Jr., both of Gate City; his father, Bert Quillen, Gate City; two sisters, Mrs. Cecil Mann and Mrs. Clarence Blair, Gate City; two brothers, Allen of Gate City and Clint Quillen, Kingsport; and one grandchild. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Blairs Chapel. The Rev. W. R. Dillon and The Rev. Carl Jones will officiate. Burial will be in the Strong Cemetery. Nephew will be pallbearers and nieces flower bearers. The body will be taken to the home of J. M. Blair Saturday afternoon from the Gate City Funeral Home.
