- Came to Jamestown, VA before 1623, when he was captured by Native Americans at the falls of the Potomac River. He was kept prisoner for 4 years. See "Tidewater Virginia" by Paul Wilstach. He was a member of the Maryland Assembly in 1638, and in 1652 he was a member of the House of Burgesses from Lancaster Co. He had a grant in MD and VA of 13,197 acres. [1]
