Notes |
- The name of William's wife is unknown, though "Drake in England", p. 82, states that he must have been married before 1465. In turn, it is likely that the latest possible year of his birth is 1445. Among his Court entries was one in which he was presented (May 22, 1483) for not doing his office as ale taster and was fined 2d. When his lands were seized following his death, it was learned that, contrary to his tenure and to the loss of the Queen, he had sold two acres of timber in "Grangerysgrove."
