MARIE RUTLEDGE SHERRICK

December 9, 2013

Marie Rutledge Sherrick, 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 9th, at Angel Works of Cape Coral, FL. She was the last surviving child of Lee County pioneers James and Martha Rutledge. Marie was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Paul Sherrick, a long-time local merchant. She was a member and active supporter of the First Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by three children: Elaine Carson (Larry) of Jacksonville, FL, Jake Sherrick (Janice) of Tampa, FL and Gail Fous (Gregg) of Ft Myers as well as her six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday December 16th at First Assembly of God Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name may be made to First Assembly of God, 4701 Summerlin Rd, Fort Myers FL 33919 or Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers FL 33908.
