CENTER BARNSTEAD, N.H. - Norma Woodward (Trafton) Joslyn, 79, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.H.

She was born in York on Jan. 25, 1925, the daughter of Russell E. and Augusta (Woodward) Trafton. She was a 1942 graduate of York High School. She worked for 38 years at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

Norma had a great passion for flowers, plants and her husband?s photography. She was known for her desire to keep her Christmas tree displayed until July.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lewis Joslyn of Center Barnstead, N.H.; her son, Glenn Joslyn and his wife Beverly, of Center Barnstead, N.H.; a granddaughter, Angela Ambrose and her husband, Raymond, of Concord, N.H; her brother, Chester Trafton of York; her sister, Harriet Lawry of York; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the First Parish Cemetery, York Street. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society, Northeast Division, 1 Main St., Suite 300, Topsham, Maine, 04086 or the American Heart Association, Northeast Affiliate, 20 Speen St., Framingham, Mass. 01701.
