OBITUARY
CHAFFINS, Frances S., 89, of Richmond, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and friends, November 12, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Phillips; and her husband, Archie M. Chaffins.
She is survived by her children; Thomas J. and Crystal Phillips, Dennis J. and Peggy Phillips, David A. and Ann Chaffins, and Martha J. Perdue; her brother Hugh Slagle; sister, Joan Tucker; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
She was a member of The Eastern Star, The Richmond Womens Club, and St. Matthews Episcopal Church.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, November 22, 2014, at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 1101 Forest Ave., Richmond, Va 23229. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to St. Matthews Episcopal Church.
Frances married Archie Merrit Chaffins 03 Oct 1970, Marion, Smyth Co. VA. Archie (son of Harry Chaffin and Holly Hoskins) was born 18 Oct 1915, Matewan, Mingo Co. WV; died 5 Jun 1998, Richmond, Henrico Co. VA. [Group Sheet]
