    Miriam Whitaker, 80, was a native of West Liberty, KY, the daughter of the late Carl and Jewell Ratliff Whitaker.

    A graduate of Asbury College, she was a social worker supervisor for children services and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

    She was survived by her brother, Jim (Betty) Whitaker, Richmond; sister-in-law, Jennalee Whitaker; as well as several nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Whitaker.

    Michael Dean Whitaker of Middletown, OH, passed away Thursday June 2, 2011, at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties, Franklin, OH, at the age of 52 years, 8 months, and 5 days. He was born on September 27, 1958 in Morehead, KY, son of Jimmy Dean Whitaker and the late Amy Lee Hamm.

    He is survived by his father and step mother, Jimmy Dean & Betty Whitaker of Richmond, KY; one sister, Toni Lee King of Columbus, OH; two nieces and one nephew, Sarah King, Mason King, and Lilly King.

    Graveside service 1:30 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the DeBorde Cemetery, Malone, KY.
