Born in Newhall, WV to Charlie M. and Maggie Reed Beavers. He was a World War II veteran and a member of Barnes-Beavers VFW Post No. 7136 of Tazewell, VA, and UMWA Local No. 6025 of Bishop, VA.
He was preceded in death by three brothers (Lawrence Charles, Gilmer V., and Arnold Jack and one sister (Sadie Beavers Short).
He was survived by one son, Robert Allen Beavers, sister, Joann Beavers Sluss, and Hazel Beavers Smith and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell with the Rev. Bernard Shrader officiating. Military graveside rites were conducted by Barnes-Beavers VFW Post 7136.
