Bernice P. Hatton, 84, of 250 E. Ross St., Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2008, at the Susquehanna Valley Nursing and Rehab Center in Columbia. Born in Idetown, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Emil and Bertha Mae Welch Norquest and the wife of the late Richard W. Hatton.
Bernice worked 24 years in quality control for Datcon from 1962 until 1986. She later worked 20 years, 1988 to present, for Myers Auto Body and Service Center in East Petersburg. Bernice attended First Methodist Church in Lancaster, enjoyed camping and bowling at Leisure Lanes in the Myers Auto Body Ladies and Zodiac Leagues.
Bernice will be lovingly remembered by her children: Sandra L. wife of Gary Myers of Lancaster, Deborah Jean wife of Michael Aument of Etters, PA, Beverly Kay wife of Patrick Aument of Fort Washington, MD, Patricia Ann wife of Robert Good of Camp, AR, six grandchildren, three step granddaughters, nine great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas E. Norquest.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Life Celebration Service from Fred F. Groff Inc., 234 West Orange St., Lancaster, PA on Saturday at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Groff's on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of service. If desired, memorials may be sent in Bernice's memory to Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Dr., P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
