FREDA J. WOMACK, 87, passed away peacefully Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, after a life of loving, laughing and caring for others. Born in Hardy, Ky., to George and Nellie Shelton, the second eldest of 12 children, she graduated from Belfry High School.

She retired from East Allen County Schools in 1980, and was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She moved to Indian Harbor Beach, Fla. with her husband of 62 years, James "Woody"; who preceded her in death in March of 2007.

She is survived by three sons, Jerry W.(LaVon) of New Haven, James R. (Cheryl) of Lake Lure, N.C. and Charles F. "Chuck" of Melbourne, Fla.; as well as four grandchildren, Aaron (Molly Lomont) Womack, Shannon Womack, Angela (Bryan) Richardson and Heather (Ryan) Clark, all of Indiana; four sisters, Eloise Knutson, Clay Burns, Glada Bull and Judy Lehner; and four brothers, Eddie, C. Kelly, Dennis and Rick Shelton, all of Ohio.

Service is 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 South U.S. 1, Rockledge, Fla., with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Gardens.
